Dear Sheriff Buchanan,
As the fire danger continues to grow, your Air Group will maintain its efforts to be extremely vigilant. While other missions have demanded our attention we have made every effort to assure our smoke patrols have not suffered as a result. The safety of our communities is not a mission we take lightly. We hope the remote forest communities have become accustomed to the sounds of our aircraft and consider those sounds to be both a reminder and a reassurance that the Yavapai County Sheriff's Air Group is up there flying for the benefit of the community.

As Air Group members, we take great pride in the many valuable services we have had the opportunity to provide. It has been an extremely gratifying experience for all of us. We sincerely thank you and your staff for the support, confidence and trust you have placed in us. Most of all, we thank you for the opportunity to serve.
